"Let's head in before Brian explodes...", Rhia winked at Jade. Carefully she put one step after another, avoiding any slippery-looking places. She managed to get into the building, undamaged. Pushing the doors open, she was immediately stopped by two large men in black, telling her that the building was off limits. She showed them her badge, after which they retreated.
Taking a look around she noticed a lot of people running around headlessy. In the mid of all that mess she made out Brian's figure. He was talking to a slender young man and his expression was irritated. Rhia decided to head to the crimescene immediately. Jade was following suite. Together with two officers they entered the main room, which was locked off to anyone. Their steps were muffled by the thick red carpet on the floor. In the middle of that room there was a glass box on a column, in which the diamond had been treasured. Now, all they could see was a piece of paper.
"Let's get started...", Rhia said, putting down her kit.

Brian detected Rhia's perfume the instant she stepped into the room. When the tourguide paused for breath, Brian patted him on the back, signaling the end of the interview, and stepped over to th CSIs coming onto the scene.
"Thank the dear and fluffy Lord you're here!" Brian said softly to Rhia, and put a hand on her shoulder. He really, really meant it. "Dr. Garrison, the vice president of the museum, is nowhere to be found. We had his house checked at, two officers busted down the door but found it to be pretty normal. But something doesn't feel right and I still think we should check his house out, too. If he took the diamond, maybe he will have left clues as to where."
A lot of the staff was getting curious as the CSIs began opening their kits, so Brian decided maybe it was finally time to clear the building to give the CSIs the breathing room they needed to work. He directed everyone out of the building, but told them to stay on the grounds in case they were needed for more questioning. Then he came back to Rhia, and said, "All I noticed was the egotistical little note, and the drop of blood under the eye scanner. I'm going to start making phone calls to see if I can get some manpower to search for Dr. Garrison. Let me know when you find something!"
He strolled off, whistling, a great deal happier now that the fun begins.

The moment she felt Brian's hand resting on her shoulder, Rhia relaxed. She couldn't deny the tension that had taken hold of her. After all, it was one of their most important cases ever - judging by the phone calls of the mayor she already had to answer.
"At least we have a suspect...", she sighed, when he told her about Dr. Garrison. "Shall I send Sam to his house to have a closer look?"
After Brian had left, she started takind pictures of the scene. The thick red carpet hadn't left any traces of footprints. One thing they surely could eliminate in their search. Getting closer to the glass box, she took some shots of its surroundings. There followed some close-ups of different things.
Then she took out her tweezers to get hold of the paper. It seemed to be from a college block - a checkered one. But Rhia would leave the further analysis to their hand writing specialist: Sam. She smiled at the thought. She bagged the piece and started to examine the thick bulletproof glass box that had covered the velvet cushion on which the diamond used to lie. The glass was clean - too clean, she thought. Taking a sniff, Rhia discovered a lemon scent.
"They cleaned off their traces...", she murmured, putting the glass aside and looking at the cushion.

She looked around the room, thinking of ways the theif might have used to steal the diamond. There were two that kept coming to mind. The person responsible for taking it had to have either been working here or must be really fit. If it wasn't an employee, then the person had to have almost ninja-like qualities to steal a high security diamond. "Rhia-sama, I have a feeling that this case is going to be our toughest one yet."

Evelyn Duquesne was late. Like always she never had time for herself, she always gave it away to others and now dropping off her sisters child she was late for the first of work. She knew where to go and what the case was about from the receptionist who, she thought felt sorry for her. As she parked about half a block away from the scene she thought about this Rhiannon Nerice person and figured out she had no idea what to say when she appeared at the scene late...'Go with the truth" she thought as she made it to the building. Still lost in the thought she was rudely interrupted by a cop who wouldn't let her explain who she was.

As Brian was walking out, he saw an officer arguing with someone by the crime scene tape. She had a CSI badge clipped to her belt, but the officer wasn't buying it. Brian walked over.
"...so late, and you expect me to believe you're a real CSI? Where'd you get that badge, Toys R Us?" The officer was saying. Brian didn't know the girl, but he knew the badge was real.
"Morning officer," Brian said as he put on his sunglasses. "Any reason why she's not allowed in?"
"Because she's probably with the press trying to get some insider look."
"She's a CSI."
"Not at all, detective. I've been on the force nine years... what kind of CSI shows up this late?"
"The kind that gets paid more than you. Let her in."
Stunned, the officer could only oblige. Brian nodded to her, figuring he'd be introduced when he went back inside. He chuckled a little as he walked away. Odd, that all new CSIs showed up late. Was lateness a sign of genius?

Sam shook her head. She had been thinking all the time. How could someone have stolen the Centenary Diamond? Ah well. At this moment, she was probably late but she also knew Rhia wouldn't mind since too many investigators at one crime scene could get everyone to be annoyed. And there were probably more than enough things to do beside the primary crime scene. She expected a call from Rhia any second now. Sam turned around to look for Katie.

Rhia turned her head to Jade. "I'm afraid you're right. But, hey, you grow with experience..."
When she turned her head back again, she noticed 'Brian obviously arguing with an officer, who was holding his hand to stop a woman passing the tape. She met her gaze and figuring it was her new CSI she waved her to come over. While she was approaching, Rhia pulled out her phone to call Sam.
"Hi there. I've got a task for you. We already have a suspect - the vice director is missing. Could you take over his house? That would be great. There are already too many people around here... oh, yeah, and I will be sending you a new colleague, Duquesne. You don't mind, do you?", she was grimacing at the phone, but smiling.
The woman came to a halt in front of her. Rhia put down the phone.
"Hi, you must be Evelyn Duquesne. I'm Rhiannon Nerice, your supervisor. Welcome aboard.", she smiled encouragingly and held out her hand to her.

As Evelyn entered the scene, she looked back at the guy who let her in and she caught the officer staring at her. He still didn't trust her. As she looked around she saw 4 people working around. It seemed as if nobody noticed that she entered the room, but as she looked at the red headed person again she saw her wave, motioning Evelyn to walk toward her. ‘Well…this must be my supervisor.’ she thought as she stopped in front of person. The woman introduced herself as Rhiannon Nerice, supervisor. As Rhiannon welcomed her aboard Evelyn gladly shook her hand and waited for somebody to tell her what in the world she was supposed to do at the moment. She knew she wouldn’t work the scene because there were enough people there already, so it was one big mystery…

Lilly arrived at the scene. It felt good to be back in the job. She'd admit, it was really short term. She had just gotten her job back this morning, and now she was already called out to a crime scene. But she didn't complain. Not at all. She walked towards the tape, eye locking with the officer. For some reason, he seemed suspicious. But he let her through, so she didn't think any more of it. Looking around, her eye fell on Rhia. She was talking with a woman Lilly didn't know. But she did notice the CSI badge on the woman's belt. Lilly walked over to them. "Hey Rhia" she said. "I don't know if you've heard it yet, but I'm back on the job."

Sam couldn't find Katie. She gave up and just as she sat down, her phone rang. "Hey. Yeah, sure, I don't mind doing that. And you know how much I love to work with newbies" Sam smiled and got on her feet again. "I'm leaving the lab as we speak. What's the address?"

Brian had made phone call after phone call, and alerted all sorts of authorities to be on the lookout for Dr. Garrison. He decided to take a break from the boring work and walk around the building. For the most part, the grounds were neat and tidy, and the landscaping was beautiful. Nothing but green and... wait! Brian saw something reflect the flashing red and blue lights from the nearby police cars. He snapped on a purple glove, and reached into the bush.
Suddenly, he jerked his hand back in pain, and let out a quick, harsh curse. He just cut himself on whatever it was, and he had barely touched it! More careful this time, he pulled it out and laid it in the grass for a better look. It was a very small blade, and slightly curved. And it had blood on it, though that was probably Brian's. The other was darker, and therefore drier and older. The metal handle appeared polished, but the blade was razor sharp.
Brian used the walkie talkie function on his cell phone. "Rhia? It's Brian."
"Yes? What is it?"
"Is Jade with you?"
"She's around here somewhere, yeah."
"Can you send her out to the west side of the building? I found something she might be interested in."
"Oh? What is it?"
"Eh, some sort of tiny knife."
"Ooh, nice find! Make sure you're very careful you don't cut yourself..."
Brian winced. She knew him far too well.
"Yeah, about that..." Brian began to explain as he went back to his car for his camera.

As soon as her supervisor finished talking on the phone another person walked towards her. She seemed happy. She said something about getting her job back and walked away.As soon as Rhiannon opened her mouth to speak somebody else interrupted her.Another phone call. I am going observe others maybe find evidence somewhere....'Evelyn thought and took about three steps away from Rhiannon.
As she was looking at the floor in front of her she saw a small fiber. So small that she barely noticed, but big enough to be noticed. She decided not to touch it, but make sure that somebody knows about her finding. So she took one of the yellow evidence markers and placed it by the fiber. She slowly walked towards one of the peoples in the room making sure that she didn't step on any evidence. That one was female with very long hair and said... "Hey I am the new CSI here and I found a fiber right over there."she pointed to the place where she found the fiber. Then she quickly looked around and noticed that there were only femalaes working in here. The only two males she saw was that guy who made sure that she was allowed in and the officer......

Just when Rhia was about to answer Evelyn, her phone went off again. It was Brian. She talked to him and afterwards called out for Jade.
"Jade? Brian needs your knowledge of blades. He's at the west side somewhere. Could you take a look at it?", she flashed her a bright smile and then turned to Evelyn again, who claimed to have found a fibre in the meantime.
"Very good.", she lauded her and bagged it as evidence. "As you may have noticed, we're already enough CSIs working here. But we have a second crime scene, where you will meet Sam. She will explain you everything, show how work is and so on. If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask. We all know how you feel in the beginning and you will find everyone of us willing to answer.", she smiled again. The she gave Evelyn the address of Dr. Garrison's house, as she had told Sam before.
"Oh, and could you take the note we found here with you and hand it Sam? She's our specialist at that and maybe you two are quicker than we are here...", she winked.
Suddenly she heard a well-known voice and spun around.
"Lily, I'm glad you're here again...", she let out a sigh. "You know what? Maybe you can go with Evelyn, she's our new colleague by the way, to meet Sam at another crime scene... there are already a couple of CSIs working here and we would only disturb each other here..."

Jade sighed and headed towards where Brian was. "You found something and needed me to identify it, right?" She knelt down to get a closer look at the blade. "Well, I'll be. I haven't seen one of these blades in years. You managed to find an older version of a kunai." She pulled one of her own out and compared it to the one on the ground. "Definitely an older one. I don't know who would be carrying one like this. My best guess would be some weapon enthusiast."
