CSI: Miami has nearly ended it's third season...and I was not impressed. Miami gets even more action driven, Horatio kills about 3 people a week in a shootout *sigh*. The show never got it right from the start. Vegas and NY don't center around a lot of action and they do very well. I think Miami tries too much looking like a Hollywood movie. I might give the show a chance if they start axing Horatio VERY soon. And the latest plot...his brother is alive after all? C'mon.
What happened to Calleigh also? She was one of the characters that made the show interesting, especially when Wolfe joined the team. But in the last ep she was a vicious bitch which seemed highly out of character. And Ryan made a n00b mistake while he has been in the lab for quite some time now, didn't seem right to me.
Miami had a few good moments (and none involved Horatio) but I have forgotten them by now, save for one moment, in the ep with the militia that smuggled in several RPG's and blew up a shop of a Hispanic man. Delko and Trip have a fallout over Trip's remarks towards the Hispanics (it was probably innocent, no racism or so meant on Trip's behalf) and in the final shot he shows up to help Delko and others to restore a store, I think that was nice (of course Horatio needed to show up soon after that, ruining the picture again).
And Speedle's death, well I never cared much for any Miami character and certainly not his (didn't hate him though, don't get me wrong), but his death was so lame. You'd figure after the Dispo Day incident he would have learned his lesson, nearly being killed. There could have been so many ways to write him out of the show, including killing him, but the gun misfiring because it was dirty was just lame.
I'd love to see a Miami ep without shots being fired and with no Horatio. But I fear for the show. Well, not fear actually, I wouldn't sleep worse if it would be cancelled. It needs major improvement.

I am also not impressed by Miami's third season. Actually, I am really dissapointed. The first two seasons were good, but this season there were a lot of unnecessary action-episodes, and they ruined some storylines. For example, by making the Suzie-Ray storyline even more soap opera-like (with Madison being sick and Ray being alive after all), while it was Miami's highlight, and one of the best things on the show. Gotta love Suzie! Yelina got beaten up by Stetler was also unnecessary, especially that they just talked about it in 2 episodes and after that it was over.
Raymond being alive might turn out interesting though, I am curious about that and didn't expect it.
Speedle actually was my favourite character together with Calleigh, and the way he died was pretty lame. His replacement Ryan is okay, I like his scenes with Calleigh, but they both acted really weird and out of character in last weeks Recoil.
I hope season four will be much better! It can get better, Season 5 from the original was also an improvement compared to season 4.

I have to say im not a big Miami fan..... but i like it better than NY. I think that the prob with CSI Miami is that the show and its events are too predictable.

I guess this won't make me well liked but I quite like Miami, I like the action it makes it different and Miami as a setting lets them getaway with pirates and crocodiles. I quite like Horatio but was not surprised that H's brother alive, knew it would cause problems, I wonder how Yelina will act?

LoL,
Ok, Here in the Nethelands there are peeple that don't love CSI: Miami to ... I think it's not really a part of CSI after all. I mean, CSI is so calm and Miami always have action, in every episode ... And I think the characters are to much likely to Las Vegas CSI's ... like: Sara had a drinking problem, the father of Calleigh has a drinking prob. And what do you think about Ryan Wolfe ... a real Greg Sanders look a like(My way of thinking).

I don't know what's you prob guys! I mean CSI: Miami is way better that CSI: NY and about the action in CSI: Miami, it makes CSI: Miami different from the other CSI's. And Calleigh (the hottest of all CSI's) plays in CSI: Miami ;D

Opinions change, I'm glad they do. ;D But NY is just better than Miami, no doubt about it.

I have to agree, Miami is good don't get me wrong but I watched an episode anr realised that the only character I liked was Horatio. The others characters cannot compare to Las Vegas. I like the storylines and how they show the city but the characters in New York are more interesting than Miami, oh except Alexx

The problem with NY is that everything is so dark and that they are sitting in thier lab too much.

Why do so many people think New York is dark?

Because it was at first, one not only the atmosphere but the murgue and the labs, they were underground, gothic and little light. The crimes also seemed darker and more grisly but now it is more lighthearted and less dark.

I don't wonder why people think that, I wonder why the complain about it. Crime is something dark, something evil. I liked the dark setting, both in atmosphere and stories. True, I don't want dark all the time but I really liked the creepy cases, especially the case in the pilot. Sometimes a good scare is good.
But NY is continuing to do good and I do agree it got better in the second half but I really didn't mind the dark setting.
I still mind the underground lab and morgue. About the morgue btw, I morgue is supposed to be dark IMO. But the underground lab has it's charmes, not to mention it must be quite cool in the summer down there (not that NY needs it since it rains all the time).
Miami is lighter of course in atmosphere but that's no surprise since it's always sunny there. But for some reason it doesn't appeal to me, I prefer the darker looks of Vegas and NY. That's not because I think that everything of Miami is bad but that's just a personal preference of mine, I prefer darker background and stuff because it's also more relaxing on my eyes.
Anyway, I wasn't impressed with the last season of Miami. It remains to be seen if I will continue with the show but I think Aidoann will force me to, so I can keep the epguide for Miami up to date.

all three shows are worth the watching, However Miami has tailed off a bit this season..
CSI is by far the best in story lines and characters..Grissom is the coolest guy on the planet.
New York has started to grow on me..its very enjoyable with some good characters as well.

I did not like the dark setting in the first episodes at all, but that's just a difference of opinion. It 'didn't appeal to me. Fogeltje, in real life the morgue is always very light. I am glad that the lab has got a lot of light and white.
