So far, I've been dissapointed. Season 1 was far more interesting to me. This season the episodes are kind of average and I'm missing the nice character interaction. Hawkes in the field doesn't work for me and Lindsay doesn't make a very nice impression like I thought she would. Also, (and I never thought it was possible) I really miss the dark edge of the show. It's all a bit too bright for my taste.
Manhattan Manhunt was a good episode though, I really enjoyed it (apart from some Horatio scenes. What is that freak doing with Stella?)

I got hooked on the show watching Manhattan Manhunt. Loved it so much that I bought S1 of the show. Have to agree seems as though somethings amiss this season. Same thing with CSIM. Nothing like S1-S3. All in all though I enjoyed S2. BTW, I got this in email today. Hope ya are interested. CSI:NY S2 coming to DVD. www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=5832

Yeah I saw that, I'll defenitely buy it once it comes out here.
It's funny to look at this old post of mine, because I changed my mind. I mean, overall season 1 made a better impression on me, but season 2 was fine as well. Lindsay brought new energy to the show and there was some good (and also some not so good) character development for some people.

I liked the Horatio/Stella scenes in MM, though that's maybe just because I like the both of them. And maybe just because I like to see H happy. That's probably also why I like the Horatio/Marisol scenes

-Lindsay: I am really loving her this season. He brings such engery to the show a new dynamic. Shes bubbly, bright, inteligent and at the same time, deep down you cna tell shes nervious. Lindsay really has come in to her own this year be it interrogating a suspect or the accual science of the show, I really hope to see some character development for her in that respect Season Two was a bit dissapointing and I certanly did expect more from Stealing Home, which I think was a bit disapointing for one of the last episodes of the season.
Danny: Oh what can I say hes been fantastic this season. I was a bit miffed at the begginging of the season thouhg, he was way to happy and cheery, after ll hes ben though though I supose he deserves a little happyness. THough in 2.06 Dancing With Fishes we did se a trumpic return to the moaning whining danny we all know and love. And what can I say about Run SIlent RUn Deep, The whole thign was so well acted by Carmine it was unbelevable. THe hug at the end of that oh my god *melt* my highlight of the CSI Year (considering im a Mac/Danny shipper)
Mac: THANK GOD THE TIES ARE GONE. I must say Mac has losened up a lot this year thank god. Mac had redeemed himself to me after being such a twat to Danny last season! The character development this year has been soo well done as well. I loved 2.17 Necrophilla America. I CRIED at it. Mac and the kid *melt* Mac would make such a good dad...however I feel the whole marine thign has been over played a bit this year.
Stella: Im nota huge fan of Stella but she been okay this year...though I did feel sorry for her in 2.21 All Acess, and 2.22 Stealing Home. THough mac could have been a bit mroe tacaatfull to her in 2.22 but hey shes a strong woman she'll pull though.
Flack: Brilliant just brilliant. He had so many good bits this year I cant fault him. I love his personalyity I just love Flack to bits I wanna hug the poor man. I can't belive what happened in 2.24 Chage Of This Post I screamed at te TV several times I almost died myself! The "Squeese my hand" scene with mac *tears*
Sheldon: What can I say out of the morge and in to the feild. Hes been great this year acculy I do love him to bits. I love the interaction with Mac and Danny, he brings a shiny ness ot the show! I love him to bits I just love the scene with Mac in 2.18 (I think) about the Robospanker. Needless to say my mind was straying to the gutter,
This seaons verdict is a resounding thumbs up from me!

I actually loved Stealing Home and I was glad that the character development was not overdone...Lindsay's glimpses and willingness made her shine and it's one of my favourite episodes of the season.
Necrophilia Americana was defenitely a great Mac episode. I can't wait to see that episode again.
I actually liked Sheldon season 1 more than Sheldon in season 2, the morgue fits him better and it made him more interesting. Season 1 Stella was also better and I'm not happy about the All Access thing. Why did they have to turn her into a victim? It was all for the ratings. I did like season 2 Danny better, he didn't whine that much and his chemistry with Lindsay made me like him more. I also felt really bad for him in Run Silent, Run Deep.

We're actually still in the middle of Season 2, the last episode aired here being Trapped.
Even though it's still early, Season 2 is kinda working for me though I miss the "dark and edgy" thing they had in Season 1. I agree about Hawkes; I liked him better as an M.E.
Most of all, I miss Aiden. Don't get me wrong, I like Lindsay too and I think she's a great addition to the team but Aiden brought that New York-feel to the show along with Flack and Danny.

Totally true, the show kind of needs that New York vibe that Aiden brought along in combination with Danny and Flack. But I can't say that I miss her, probably because I just like Lindsay more..

Thought I'd add in more of my opinions since next week is the season finale for CSI:NY S2.
Like I said before, I missed Season 1. Season 2 is much too bright for my liking; it reminds me of CSI:Miami, minus the orange-ey vibe. Season 1 was dark, edgy and mysterious; like the way it should be for NY. I've always imagined NY to be a little different from LV and Miami and the dark theme really suits the show.
As for the cases, I admit that the cases in S2 are much more interesting than S1.
NY was the first CSI show in which I liked all the characters, which brings me to elaborate on them.
Mac didn't really change this season; except that we get to see a softer side to him in Necrophilia Americana. He also loosened up a bit and joked around, which is a good thing. I like the easygoing Mac better than the uptight Mac.
Stella was much more "in your face" in S1 but in S2 she seemed to have blended into the background; especially after All Access. The beating she took was horrible, not only for her, but for any female. That episode made her look vulnerable but I admired her quick thinking in it. Stella also got a little emotional in S2 but I guess that's good because, well, she is still a human being and what human being doesn't show emotions?
Flack was simply brilliant this season. His lines are funnier and his new haircut helped too. He seemed to have gotten more screentime, I'm happy about that. We also got to see the softer side of him, like in Run Silent Run Deep and All Access. I can't find any flaws with his character.
Danny, wow, he really did went through hell this season. Danny was so far the most watched character on the show. Run Silent Run Deep and Trapped were excellent Danny episodes; it really showed us more towards his character. I like it that we got a chance to see his brotherly side. And I gotta say, he grew a little bit more mature this time.
Hawkes was alright this season but, again, as I said before, I'd rather see him in the morgue than in the field. It just fits him that way. Plus, his know-it-all-ness is annoying me a little. Other than that, he's alright.
Lindsay, at first, I liked but after watching her burst in front of a suspect in All Access, I was a little put-off by her. Angry Lindsay just doesn't seem to work. I'd like to see a more relaxed, happy Lindsay, like in Stuck On You, she was totally adorable in it when she fired the arrow. They should give her more light scenes.
Aiden... how I miss her. I watched Heroes and it really made me sad. Although she didn't develope much in S1 and S2, if she (Vanessa) had stayed, I'm sure the writers would tell us more about her. But in Heroes at least we got to learn that she was working towards her P.I. license. Aiden was my favorite TV female character of all time and it really bugged me to see her go like that. But really, it was good to see and hear her on CSI:NY for one last time.
