*DISCLAIMER: I do not own Flack (but I sure do wish I do! LMAO) or Aiden or anything related to CSI:NY.*
*P:S : Someone in the Flack/Aiden locker room in Talk CSI came up with this idea so you should really credit the person who did. I just came up with the story line. I know it’s a bit crappy but I’m sleepy and a bit blur. Enjoy!*
Flack stared at the young woman in front of him. Its funny how people meet, lose contact with each other, and meet again later in life. That’s exactly what happened to him and Aiden Burn.
Flack leaned back in his chair, sipping his mug of coffee. He remembered it as if it were yesterday…
FLASHBACK…
A young Don Flack was playing on the swings, swinging himself when a little girl with dark wavy hair in pigtails and lips in a pout walked over to him. Flack never really talked to her even though they were in the same kindergarten.
“Flack,” said the little girl, Aiden. She held out a bag of jellybeans towards him. “Jelly?”
“Thanks!” said Flack. He and Aiden sat in the sandbox and ate the little sweets together. Since then, the two 6 year olds have been best friends.
NOW…
Flack smiled at the memory. Suddenly Aiden came walking to him, carrying a large book.
“Flack! Look! It’s our old high-school year book!” she said.
“Oh God, where did you find it?”
“In my old book case. Just decided to show it to you.”
They opened the book page by page, remembering the good and bad times of high-school…
FLASHBACK…
A teenage Flack carried his books towards his locker. He was supposed to meet his best friend, Aiden, there but she hasn’t shown up. He checked his watch. She was 10 minutes late. Aiden has been acting strange all week. Ignoring his calls, showing up for meetings late.
Flack decided that he couldn’t wait. Since then, he and Aiden lost contact and their friendship slowly drifted apart. Flack was the jock in high-school while Aiden became the preppy girl, Even though both met each other through practices, they didn’t talk to each other cos they had new friends. This continued on all through high-school and through college.
NOW…
“What happened then?” asked Aiden, leaning on Flack.
“Guess we sort of drifted apart, Aid,” said Flack, supporting her weight by wrapping his arm around her.
“But we did become friends again when we found out that we worked here.”
“Yeah, guess we did.”
“Remember when we first found out that we’re going to work on a case together?”
Flack smiled. “Yes, I do.”
FLASHBACK…
“Aiden, you’re going to work with Detective Flack.”
“OK.”
Aiden wondered where she has heard that name before. Flack… Flack… Flack… it sounded very familiar. Suddenly a tall man with dark, wavy hair and blue eyes came round the corner. Aiden gasped. He looked up, saw her and stopped in his tracks too.
“Flack?”
“Aiden?”
"So we meet again."
“Wow, you’ve… changed.”
“So have you. It’s been like how long? 5, 6, maybe 8 years?”
“Guess so. Wow, I didn’t know you’re a CSI.”
“Neither did me about you becoming a detective.”
NOW…
“I’m glad we know each other now,” said Aiden, kissing Flack on the lips.
“Yeah, me too.”
