*DISCLAIMER: I do not own anything related to CSI:NY. I only own the storyline. Big thanks to my Flackie big sis, Kati, for the ice-skating idea. You’re the best!*
The sidewalk on New York City was lined with snow. Christmas was in the air. People were bustling in and out of stores, carrying huge shopping bags and bumping into each other. In the apartment of Don Flack, it was warm and cozy. Flack yawned and ran a hand through his wavy, black hair. He just decorated his Christmas tree and was feeling awfully tired. His dark blue eyes wandered over to the coffee mug sitting on the table. He took it and sipped it. He closed his eyes as the warm liquid went down his throat. Just then, the doorbell rang. When he opened the door, he saw Aiden Burn standing there, her cheeks rosy and her long, wavy brown hair tied up in a ponytail. She smiled and her brown eyes twinkled.
“I just got back from the mall and decided to drop by,” she said, entering the warm room. She took off her jacket and stood facing Flack. He suddenly grabbed her towards him and planted a kiss on her lips. For a few minutes, they stood there; Flack giving her soft, tantalizing kisses. Aiden sighed and rested her head on his shoulder.
“Flack?”
“Yes?”
“Wanna do something fun?”
Flack grinned at her. “Define fun.”
Aiden smiled coyly at him, running her finger up and down his chest. “Oh, you’ll see.”
~~~~~LATER…
“Aiden,” said Flack. “When I asked you to define fun, ice-skating was the furthest thing away from my mind.”
“Don’t be such a spoil sport!” said Aiden, laughing. “What did you think I wanna do? That ‘thing’ with you on your nasty bed?”
They were at a park, ready to do some ice-skating. Aiden was waiting for Flack while he put on his skates.
“Well, yeah,” he said, getting up.
“You need to be more active and I don’t mean in the bed.”
Flack snorted. Aiden knew that Flack had some muscles, thanks to countless hours at the gym. She’s seen him shirtless countless of times.
“Anyway, I’m hoping that you could teach me to ice-skate, considering that you used to be quite an ice-skater in your high-school days.”
“You’ve made a point,” he said. “Ice-skating’s really easy.”
He held Aiden’s hands and guided her towards the cold, hard ice. She wobbled a bit and grabbed onto his forearms with a vice-like grip.
“You wait here and I’ll show you.”
As Aiden clung on to a tree, Flack skated a perfect figure 8 and stopped gracefully in front of her.
“See?” he said, holding her hand. “Follow my lead and you’ll be fine.”
After an hour, Aiden was already skating by herself.
“This is fun,” she said, smiling at Flack. She skated towards him and kissed him on the lips. “Thanks.”
Flack smiled back and returned her kiss. After skating, they walked hand-in-hand towards a small café. It was warm, cozy and smelled of freshly baked cakes. It was decorated in a festive mood. Christmas songs were playing in the background.
“What can I get for you two?” asked the waitress.
“Two hot chocolates.”
“Aight, it’ll be ready in 5 minutes.”
As the waitress went back to the kitchen, Aiden held Flack’s hand in hers. She gently squeezed his hands.
“Thanks for the skating lesson,” she said. Then she looked up and giggled, a blush coming on her cheeks.
“What?” asked Flack, confused.
“Mistletoe,” she whispered. Flack looked up and indeed there was a mistletoe hanging above them. She leaned in and kissed him right there.
