Oooh oooh ooh I finally found a thread I like other than the RPG lol!
Name's Brian. I'm currently 19, and just finished my first year at the University of Texas at Arlington. I am majoring in software engineering (Because I'm a total computer geek). I have a wonderful, wonderful girlfriend (well, she'll be my fiance before long. Just need to find that perfect ring, right?) She is starting to study for her criminal justice degree -- the FBI has already asked her to become a hostage negotiator! I'm so proud!
When I first started high school, I wanted to join a SWAT team, so that's where I got started with law enforcement. I joined an organization called Police Explorers (http://www.learning-for-life.org/exploring/lawenforcement/) and spent three years as a Police Explorer in Arizona. After some time, I decided I wanted to be a forensic scientist -- I even took a forensics course my senior year in high school! Then I was promoted to the rank of corporal (and there were times when I was Acting Captain!). But then I graduated from high school in Arizona, and moved to Texas to attend UTA. I had decided that being a programmer was the life for me, law enforcement entails too much paperwork lol.
There, I joined another Explorers group, and they were going to promote me to sergeant, but I didn't like them, and so I resigned. However, at UTA, I'm trying to start up a whole new post with me as the captain. Hopefully that goes through!
So, along with being a COMPLETE computer geek, I'm also into film. As a hobby, I direct/edit/produce amateur films. In addition to that geekiness, I play Dungeons and Dragons. I don't care what you say, it's fun! I played piano for eleven years, was on the swim team for four years, and I've been training in martial arts since 3rd grade. I currently have a black belt in Taekwondo and I know Krav Maga.
