Name: Brian Shefkowitz
Sex: Male
Age: 22
Birthdate: April 5, 1984
Birthplace: Los Angeles, California
Education: Degrees in Computer Science and Criminal Justice
Specialties: Computers, firearms.
Brian was born and raised in Los Angeles, and noticed very early on that he had quite the knack for seeing things most people overlooked. He grew accustomed to the big city, but he stayed away from all the crime going on around him. When an arsonist burned down his home while he was in high school, he was finally motivated to move on to become a forensic investigator, and do his part to bring justice to this world.
Being a very logical person, Brian had a certain aptitude for computers. But he also had a strong passion for firearms, although he's never had to fire one in his life at another person... until he was abducted. Over the years he's gathered a wide variety of firearms, and has quite the computer setup, to help with the more technical side of investigations.
Brian developed a strong sense of aggression after being abducted while still new to the job. He is more fast-paced and action-oriented than the rest of his peers, which tends to cause trouble sometimes. But he believes that his ends justify his means. He somtimes "colors outside the lines" to get the job done faster.
But he means well and still wants to save lives and bring justice to the world. He's just become darker and less forgiving after his ordeal, and wants to prove himself worthy, whatever the cost. He has become very loyal to his friends, and grown very close with those that directly worked to save him during the Abduction.
He will never forget it.
In fact, all the psychological trauma his abduction caused him came to a head during his 11th major case with the New York Crime Lab. He violently abused a suspect, but covered up his actions. In the end, he was only given a week of administrative leave, but he felt better. With most of his anger out of his system, he has more peaceful things to pursue, like justice, and solving the usual puzzles of crime... and love.
