Amaranthine walked in and looked around, not sure where to go. 'Why did I get called for this? Oh, that's right. They need me here.' she thought to herself as she headed towards the smell of coffee. "Hello, I wasn't sure where I'm supposed to be right now. So, can you explain why I was called so early?" she asked Rhia.

Sam was surprised to see so many new faces. "Rhia! How did you do that, get so many new people?" she got on her feet and introduced herself to the new CSIs as QD lab tech Samantha Noir 'but everyone just calls me Sam'. "I guess you won't be needing me in the field today" she smiled and looked at her supervisor. "Or do you?" she added jokingly.

Rhia was just about to answer Sam, when her pager went off again. She shot a quick glance and jumped up fully awake afterwards.
"Shit, shit, shit...", she looked around in the room, then calmed down a bit and started talking.
"Ok, now everyone's here at last. I'm Rhiannon Nerice, your supervisor. Just call me Rhia. I'm sorry I don't have much time to show you around and that stuff, but you'll all get the chance to prove yourself in the field. As you will know the mayor and his wife have been assassined. And because they've been local politicians the FBI will start investigating, too. So, we need to be there as soon as possible to get all the traces. Everyone now take your stuff and I'll give you the address.", she told them the address.
"By the way, Sam. You could come with me. We need every pair of eyes and every pair of hands.", with these words Rhia had spun around to leave the room and collect her kit. On her way out she snapped her mobile open.
"Hi Brian. We're on our way!"

Lilly walked after Rhia. "Hey Rhia" she said. "I know we're late, but I just wanted to let you know I gratuated my DNA study last night. So I will be able to help in the DNA lab now too, not just psychology." She sighed. "I just wish I didn't go celebrate until early this morning."

"Hallelujah," Brian muttered as he closed the phone. 4:00am, the clock on the front read. Luckily, the mayor's house wasn't too far from the lab and the police station. Brian walked over to captain Lewis.
"Captain Lewis," Brian said, "I need you to do a very patriotic, American thing for me." "That sounds like sarcasm, detective Shefkowitz." "Right, by patriotic, I mean I need your men to harass the FBI. Give them a hard time, you know. Stall them. My team is finally on their way and we need to buy them as much time as possible to collect evidence." "Well what are you going to do?" "I'm going to go in with them, and try to triangulate where the shooter was when the shots were fired. I want to check out that scene, wherever it may be, before it gets contaminated. And then, I probably have a big pile of hate mail to go through to find some suspects." "That you do. You'll definitely want to check the mayor's computer. And I--"
Captain Lewis was interrupted by an annoying honking. Brian and Lewis looked over to see a news van with the number 4 printed in bright red on its side. It was honking obnoxiously, trying to force its way as close as possible to the scene.
"Aw, hell. Now what?" Captain Lewis spat, exasperated. "I have an idea," Brian said. "Shoot." "Well, you have what, twenty squad cars here, right? Each and every one of them is equipped with a spotlight, right? Just have all your men point the spotlights at the cameraman. No shot, no news. Oh, and, don't talk to the reporter." "Jesus, Detective. Four in the morning and you're just chock full of good ideas." "I had some coffee."
Captain Lewis ordered his men to keep quiet and blind the cameraman, and they obeyed, glad to take out their early-morning frustration on the press.
Brian looked down the road, and could see the familiar Crime Lab SUVs speeding towards the scene, lights blazing. He smiled -- there were four total SUVs... which meant they were bringing a lot of equipment and manpower with them. Good, good, good. Captain Lewis ran up to Brian. "Detective, the FBI called, they are half an hour out, and on their way." Bad, bad bad.

Danny watched Rhia leave, and followed her to the mayor's house, upon arriving he took his kit out and looked around the bedroom, noticing the window was open and no glass had been shattered. The first thought he had was inside job. He looked around and saw what looked like a calabur round. He put his gloves on and picked it up taking a look at it, He called to the detective/CSI (?) "Ill have to take this bullet in....," He said.

Arriving at the scene, she looked around amazed at everyone else that showed up. She smiled at the use of the spotlights and the cunning of the officers. Being careful not to disturb the scene, she took pictures of the area and shook her head. 'Whoever did this is a very sick person.' she thought to herself.

Sam left the CSI SUV and took one of the spare kits from the trunk. Not being a regular CSI, she didn't have her own kit, and therefore she could use the spare kits. She walked over to Brian and greeted him. "Goodmorning Detective" she smiled. "Now tell me and be honest; how awake are you? 'Cause I'll warn you that I am pretty hyper active at this moment. Two cups of coffee at the lab and a bottle of cola on the way here tends to do that to me. But anyway. How're you?" Oh! She was acting stupid and really not the way a CSI nor a lab tech in the field was supposed to behave. She shook her head and looked at Brian. "Okay, let's do this again. I'm acting like I'm crazy. Okay. Goodmorning Detective Shefkowitz, is everything all right with you?" Sam smiled at him, hoping she could get a clue of what to look for. Searching for something in particular brought more results than not knowing what to search for, most of the times. "Is it true what I've heard? Sniper? Rumors travel fast." she noticed the CSI that had been introduced as Danny Messer picked something up from the ground and some light reflected on the surface of it. If it was a shell casing, it was very out of place here. From the ground you couldn't shoot the mayor, not even with a sniper rifle. And if she looked up to the night sky that was now coloring a deep pink, there was no way how a casing could have fallen down. After all, this place probably had no other gravity than any other place on earth and something falling down falls down in a straight line until it can't go further, right? Sam looked at Brian. "I'm again hyperactive, am I? Firing all those questions at you? Blame it on the caffein and the early hour, please".

Rhia followed Sam out of the SUV. She had sent the newbies right into the house, they could deal with the evidence outside the bedroom. Herself and Sam would try to find out where the shooter had been. She nodded at Brian and smiled.
"Good morning, Brian.", she said softly, before she changed to her professional tone. "So, let's get started. When will they arrive here?", she emphasised the word "they" and everyone around knew who was meant by it.
"I got everything we need right here...", she smilingly tapped a black suitcase she was also carrying with her. "Shall we...?", she stepped ahead into the house and made her way for her bedroom. They passed her new colleagues and she shot each of them an encouraging smile. "Try to be as thorough as possible!"
When Rhia stepped into the bedroom, she immediately noticed the bullet hole in the wall. He missed once...maybe someone was moving...
She started to arrange the lasers.

(My fault :x sorry)
Danny looked around the crime scene wondering where the bullet might have come from, considering the window was closed. He stood up and saw Brian and asked, "I found a shell it looks like a snipers ammo, but it doesnt fit right if the window's closed..Inside job mabey?"

"I'm just peachy, Sam," Brian replied, and shooed her into the house, where her energy would be better put to use. "Buenos dias, Rhia," Brian said to her, as he followed her in, snapping on his gloves. He cast a wary eye on the new CSIs. "Rhia, is this the best you could scrounge up in the wee hours of the dawn?" He poked her when he saw the offended look on her face, to let her know he was only joking. He had confidence they would do a good job.
He gave her a detailed brief on what he knew: A sniper fired three shots into the room. One shot hit the mayor in the head while he was sleeping. One shot hit a glass vase of flowers. A third shot hit the mayor's wife in the heart. Both the mayor and his wife were pronounced dead at the scene. The sniper had been using a high-powered rifle, inferred due to the fact that the bullets punched neat holes through the window without shattering it. The rifle was also not silenced, as the live-in maid had reported hearing gunshots.
As Rhia set up the lasers, Brian looked around the room. The mayor's body was still in bed, a large bullet hole through his right temple. The pillow was soaked in blood. Brian did NOT want to look at that exit wound. The wife was slumped with her back against the wall, a large hole in her chest, sitting in a pool of her own blood. There were shards of glass from the vase all over one corner of the room, with a bullet hole in the wall opposite the vase.
"Lilies," Brian said, noting that the flowers were still extremely healthy -- they must have been brand new.
"Apartments," Rhia responded. Brian turned around to see that she had finished lining the lasers through the holes in the window. They all pointed to a window on a tall apartment building several blocks away.

Lilly stood there, thinking. 'Maybe the shooter hated the mayor. But why would he shoot the wife also? He either must have hated them both, or he's trying to bring a message to the world, what would mean he's probably not gonna stop with one murder. Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait until we know more before I can come to a conclusion.' She went on with collecting evidence. In the part where she was working wasn't much to find, so she went to check on the newbies. First, she went to the woman. "Hi" she said. "Everything okay? I'm Lilly, by the way."

Sam also looked at the apartments across the street, and, just like Rhia and Brian, the one window the lasers were pointing at in particular. "Four windows from the street, so fourth floor, and three windows from the closest side. I'm guessing... about twenty feet from the closest side. First apartment from that side, I think. Which makes me wonder - I mean, you have a good view at here from there, but does someone live there or is it just used because it's closest to the fire escape, which would make it some sort of creepy murder central?" Sam thought out loud.

Brian looked at the shell casing. "That's a 30-aught-6 shell. Very distinct, very popular rifle. But I think the bullets that hit the mayor and his wife are bigger than that. So, I wonder where the 30-aught bullet went? Hmmm..."
Brian surveyed the scene once more. "Ok people, we are dealing with a very professional hit right here. That means our killer is doing their best to minimize their evidence. Be on your toes, there could be red herrings all over the place, just to throw us off. But I need you guys to bag as much as possible and bring it back before the FBI claims it. We don't have much time to sit around speculating. We can do that in the lab. I want photos of every angle, and I want every shard of glass from that vase, and I want that computer and all three bullets."
Brian hurried out to captain Lewis. "Captain, we found the shooter's location. Bring a SWAT Team, and let's get it cleared for investigation." "Nice work, Detective. Alright! Sergeant! Mount up, we're going in!"
Brian hopped in the back of the SWAT truck as it sped towards the apartments. It just barreled right through the front gate, and parked itself with the rear just inches away from the double doors that led into the lobby. The SWAT team threw open the truck's doors and flew into the apartment building. Brian followed close behind, gun drawn. Brian, going off of Sam's calculations, had already explained which room they were headed for. The SWAT team moved fluidly up to the target room, and rammed the door down. The SWAT team fanned out in the room, making sure their guns were pointed at every inch.
The room was completely, utterly, empty, except for one thing: There was a picture of the Sheriff, with a crosshairs drawn over his head, tacked to the wall.
The SWAT team reported this to Captain Lewis. Brian texted this to Rhia.
And that's when the FBI decided to show up at the mayor's house. Two black sedans and a large, black van pulled up. Five agents were wearing gloves and blue jackets with the gold letters FBI across the back. One agent was dressed in the stereotypical dark suit, and had his badge clipped to his belt. His dirty blonde hair was greased back, and he had a hooked nose. "Agent Greeley, Federal Bureau of Investigations, homicide unit. I demand to see who's in charge, right now!"
