I wonder why Horatio calls Ryan > Mr. Wolfe?

I know! That bothers me so much. He calls everyone else by their first names, but not poor Ryan! (Ryan's my fave. character, if you hadn't guessed).

I hadn't thought of that. But now that you mention I wonder why?

maybe cos he still a bit the newbie? Then H has to call him 'Ryan' the next season, cos then he's not the newbie anymore.

I suppose... but it still annoys me a little. Although, H annoys me in general anyway so what else is new?

It isn't just H, Eric calls him 'Wolfe' too, but then Ryan sometimes refers to Eric as 'Delko'

I think that's different, though. The thing with Eric and Ryan is there's a lot of tension between them. Besides the fact that Ryan came at a very bad time (after Speed's death) and Eric resented that, thinking of it as Ryan trying to replace Speed. But I think that Ryan and Eric refering to each other as "Delko" and "Wolfe" is different, most notably because Horatio calls Ryan "Mr. Wolfe." There have also been times when Eric does call Ryan "Ryan" and Ryan does call Eric "Eric" (it's like double talk ).

i think that H called ryan "Mr. wolfe" because he was the new guy. But now he's not so he calls him ryan. and the thing with Eric and Ryan.... there was alot of tension between them because of the time ryan joined (after Speed's death)...but after Eric rushes ryan to the hospital in the episode "nailed" that tension is broken. i think it was because Eric feels responsible for Ryan's accident because it was originally his call and he blew it off. so Ryan had to come in on his day off and he went to investigate the trailer and got a nail in the eye and Eric feels responsible and guilty. and to sort of make it up to Ryan, Eric offers to drive him home and explains that he feels guilty and responsible for his accident. They become pretty good friends after that.

Everybody calls Delko 'Delko', so that's different. Okay, Horatio refers to Delko as 'Eric', but I don't get the part where he still (even now) calls Ryan 'Mr. Wolfe'. Is that out of respect for him or because he doesn't trust him? It's a bit of a double feeling.

i think H call him mr.wolf because he is the newer in the group and don't have a lot of confidence with him like he have with others...

Yeah but season 5 has now ended in the US, and sent on hiatus til September in the Netherlands, and Horatio still calls him Mr Wolfe.. I mean, come on, he's been in the team for 2.5 to 3 years now...
