i was wondering what you all thought about this latest episode- the eye thing really did creep me out, as did what happened to zoe's hand, however other than the eeky factor, the episode was well written and bringing back lady heather was absolutely beautiful, especially the cat-and-mouse game she kept playing with gil grissom- she was always one step ahead of the csi team.
i would really like to generate some discussion on this brilliantly written episode.

I thought the writing was actually very poor. They could have done so much with the great concept and the character of Lady Heather, but they didn't. Jerry Stahl isn't the best writer on the show, so maybe I could have expected it.
The Nazi-story was very interesting, but they only discovered that in like the last 10 minutes. I would have liked to know what the real drive of the killer was. Unfortunately we didn't get to see it. The first half an hour was okay, but normal, like an average episode.
Lady Heather. I always liked her and her interaction with Grissom. That old chemistry did not come back at all in this episode, apart from the last scene. That one was awesome! Melinda Clarke is a great actress, I'm wondering why she's on a show like The O.C.
So apart from the last 10 minutes, the episode was rather average. Just when the story began, the show was over. I had such high hopes, it's a shame. I have no idea why everyone is so thrilled about this episode.

the killer was trying to create the perfect woman for the master race- that was why he changed out one of zoe's eyes- otherwise, she fit the nazi profile of the perfect aryan to a tee.
there were parts of it that really carried me- pieces of it when i didnt know what i was to expect- you are right, the nazi connection was probably the best piece of data that moved the story along fast- i think it would have been best if they had found the bunker earlier and asked the question what had happened to victims numbered one through seventeen, and number twenty (unless he was the other siamese twin- we only saw that one of them was numbered twenty-one). lady heather's involvement was nice, and i liked the tension between them that something wasnt quite right- after all, he did have her under suspicion for murder in the second of the lady heather episodes, 'lady heather's box'. there would be a slight hesitation between them- the old chemistry, however, worked better for me, but that could be because if i could date anyone in the show at all, it would be either of them.
i am hoping that in another season or so, she will resurface and make gil melt again.
when we got to the nazi story, it placed me through to the dark side, you know? i can understand perfectly what they believe in, even though i dont agree with it at all...and that sort of connection is almost terrifying- having that understanding, the nazi involvement is something fascinating to watch and deal with.
you are right that the first half was like the average episode.
i cannot wait for the transcript of this episode is up online- i will be happy to go through it with a fine tooth comb.

I understand that the relationship between Grissom and Heather is strained, but I just felt like Grissom was talking to a normal person, not a special person for him.

i thought that the last few episodes before this were nothing to be really happy about. But i was thrilled when this one came on. It came back to what the show used to be. Thrilling and intruiging, like you wanted to watch everyhitng with very wide eyes as to not miss anything. One of the best episodes yet.
