I love M*A*S*H!! I've seen reruns of it most of the way through. I particulary enjoy the seasons featuring Charles Emerson Winchester the Third.
M*A*S*H is one of the most groundbreaking comedy series ever.

M*A*S*H!!! It's so cool, it's funny, I like it, I watch it a lot. I really like to watch it, here they air it when there's nothing interesting on tv, so that's why I watched it in the first place, but now I watch it very often.

I actually own the first 9 seasons on DVD...I think 10 is coming out pretty soon here in the US. My favorite characters are Hawkeye and Colonel Potter (although I love Colonel Blake too....the ep where he dies is so sad)That ep actually was a mystery to the cast, they handed radar the lines as he walked into the room, they didn't tell anyone what they were going to do.

Really, that'd be quite surprising to everyone.

Yeah, the reactions on the camera were their actual reactions to being told the news, I thought it was an interesting way to do things.

i did not know that- that is a great way to not only test a cast's ability to stay in character, but a very good way to get a true reaction, if they are able to be totally immersed in the qualities of their character.
its not just the comedy in it that attracts me- its the human drama in it that is so true to life without being overly gory- most of the effect is achieved without showing much at all, only the reactions to it- that is half of what kept me drawn to the show. hawkeye is my favourite character due to the depth that he is explored- we get to see every side of him through his reactions and interactions to other characters and events. when i was quite a bit younger i had a huge crush on him.
i dont know- the ways that the events of the korean war are portrayed is so gripping that it still makes me cry sometimes....
*sigh*
