I got this series out of the library (I've only seen the first five eps of season 1 so far) because Jonathan Brandis was in it (for those who don't know, Jonathan Brandis was a child actor. He guest starred on The Flash, and was in The Never Ending Story 2, Sidekicks, and Ladybugs. When he was 27, he tried to killed himself and died later at the hospital. ). I pretty much figured the show would be all cheesy and crappy, but I liked it. It's kind of like Star Trek only under water. Also, one of the chracters (Lt. Ben Krieg) reminds me of Lt. Nick Holdan from Operation Petticoat (Tony Curtis's character).

seaQuest DSV was cool, at least the first season. The second season got too much. The direction the show was taking had promted Stacy Haiduk not to reprise her role in that season I didn't like the third season, seaQuest 2032 at first but later could appreciate it a bit. I always found it a shame that the series ended so abruptly. The good news is that it comes to DVD soon. I think I will acquire it. That series is childhood nostalgia, along with Earth 2, another show initially produced by Spielberg.

Stacy Haiduk didn't reprise her role? Hitchcock was awesome, though! lol. I just can't wait to see more of it, I'm getting the dvds out of the library.

No, Haiduk, the doc and Applegate didn't return, as far as I can recall the rest of the cast returned for S2. The guy playing Ortiz (the WHSKer guy) didn't return in S3 (written out as killed off) and Roy Scheider only had some guest appearances. Definitely sucked that season, nothing against Michael Ironside, but I'm not used to him being the good guy.
