Brian's an LA man, he can hold his own. Plus, this gives me a perfect excuse for some violence on Brian's part later on, if need be XD

That would be interesting. And csihamlet, the girls were NOT gossipping about the weather and such! We were gossiping about...hometowns...and...such. Lol, sorry I kind of pass my short attention span on to my characters sometimes. I was trying to make it so it wouldn't be like too much small talk cause they're all pretty upset and Zora doesn't really know Brian so (ivycolt correct me if I'm wrong) she might have just put like a nervous joke in there to lighten the mood and because she feels a little out of place with everyone knowing him and being pretty worried and she doesn't. *little kid singy voice*I see a kind of cute ship between two characters *wicked grin* in here but I won't say who yet, because I don't know if they're trying to play them that way or not. I just picked up a little chemistry, being the hopeless romantic I am.

Hehehe. You guys were definitely gossiping about the weather some of the time! Heheheh. Though I don't deny that Hamlet started it, coming in to the lab, dripping with rainwater as he was... And yes, it was very foolish of me to miss such a great opportunity to sever Brian's finger... ;D H.

*Innocent face* Laura wasn't gossiping about the weather (sorry if it sounds like I'm referring to myself in the third person. My real name's not Laura I just use that username because most boards I'm on, your username should be the same as your character's name.) In reference to Brian's last post in the case...what? No almost cussing them out? I'm surprised! hehe. I noticed that. It was like almost every post he'd start cussing and then get cut off.

Okay not trying to start any fights so please don't get mad but I have to say how I feel or it will eat me alive. I know this is just a game. However I was affended by Hamlet's gossip comment. We weren't gossiping we were talking as we processed as they do on the show. We didn't talk about the weather except for a moment not hours or something. Plus Hamlet (the character) was not even at the apartment so how did he even know what we were doing? Okay I said my piece. Thanks....

Seemed like there was a lot more talk than processing to me, whatever it was about. Seriously though, there is a separate section -- private lives -- for the more gossipy sort of role playing. I'm not the only one who doesn't like it I'm sure. Seems to me people should set out to put something concrete in every post they make. And those case-relevant points should be central to each message, rather than incidental. The small amount of gossip on the show is always secondary to the case, it never seems like it is the main point of the story as it was starting to here... H.

It didn't seem central to me, more like a bunch of CSIs worried about one of their own trying to keep their minds from wandering to thoughts of what could be happening to him.

Yeah that's exactly what it was, bluebean . I guess people deal with worry differently. They were trying not to think about it, because pretty upsetting thinking about a friend and coworker being kidnapped and Hamlet's more no-nonsense, get to the point. We can't all think alike or we'd just have one character.

@ Laura, there's this little thing about your list; Sam Noir isn't a CSI, she's a QD labtech who studies Forensic Psychology. Just something.

In order to insult an egotistical person, attack the ego!
Besides, I was running out of ways to "almost" swear. So, my strange sense of humor kicked in, and Brian called the woman "fat." That's bad enough to any female, much more so to one with an inflated ego.
As to your bickering... I like it. The tensions and stress of the case are spilling out into other forums! This must be a good one! But I did have one question -- why did you all take a break and sleep?

I don't know...Hamlet skipped to the next day so I assumed that we all were going to. I really don't know. Oh and just so you guys know in my latest private life post, the thoughts on there are Laura's and Laura's only. I personally am not pissed at anyone on this board, I'm just playing her like that. Don't get offended. @ Scorpii--will fix

Hehehe. I love a bit of bickering too as is no doubt obvious by now. I get bored and frustrated if everyone on a board is too nice and polite and banal to each other all the time. It may be that I deliberately rabble rouse sometimes... Ideally I would rather argue about something more interesting, like the case, but arguing about each other is better than nothing! Anyway, I've yet to go and read the latest RPG posts, but I just wanted to add that I only made that post about Hamlet going home to bed because that was, actually, what I was preparing to do myself, LOL. Presumably, we don't all need to be on the same shifts though, or we can be on overtime, or whatever. And personally, I'm not checking timelines. I believe I said Brian had "48 hours" to live initially, but I wouldn't suggest any of us worry overmuch whether we actually meet that deadline, or miss it because we sleep too much... zzzzzz H.

I was wondering... Could someone (temporarily) play Luke in his absence? Hamlet really needs some help opening the mysterious package, and it *ought* to be the supervisor.
Incidently, I was thinking the box should contain a video message of the abducted Brian in his subway tunnel, and that there should be something on that tape by which we can identify which *particular* tunnel Brian is being held in.
Unless anyone has any better ideas...

That actually sounds like a cool idea...with the video thing. I don't know if we can play Luke...I mean he's been gone a long time. I pmed him on Talk CSI and I know he logged in recently, but he never posted anything. And I agree...they need bickering sometimes. I mean what group of people who see each other almost everyday get along perfectly? They don't in the show and they don't in real life. Which is good because if they did...I'd be a bit worried.

Voice patterns are useless as you've already ID'd a suspect, but maybe, maybe there was an old rusted sign with the name of that tunnel that accidently wound up in the background of the video?
And surely, once they've found the right tunnel, they'll see which direction he's been dragged off...
So there's that for you. That, and I'm going to throw in a little Saw here to add a sense of urgency... heh heh heh...
