Yes, as much as we all hate it, there are rules to be made in case anything gets out of control. Call us evil, cruel, mean or any other adjective you can think of. But rules are rules and here they are.
1. Be polite. Don't bad mouth members or characters. Try not to swear a lot. If you find that a member has posted something which offended you, please inform either Fabian or me.
2. You aren't allowed to speak for other characters except for your own character and/or suspects in the cases.
3. Don't change the name of suspects or change evidences in cases.
4. Try not to complicate or twist things around.
5. If you're thinking about joining, go ahead but make sure that you can post frequently during cases or private lives. Don't join but end up not posting anything.
6. Try to keep all romance/personal story lines in the private life section.
7. If you want to join, please say so in the "Apply Here" thread, then the moderators will add you to the list.
8. If you have something against another member, don't take it all out here or anywhere in the boards.
9. If you want to use an original character (example: Lindsay Monroe from CSI: NY), feel free to do so. Or if you want to use a character made up entirely by you, you can do that too. Just remember to post their bios in the "Characters Bios" section. You can only play ONE character.
10. If you joined the RPG late and if the case is almost finished, please wait for the current case to finish. After all, it makes no sense dragging in a character when the case is almost done. You can join in the next case.
11. Unless the case is related to your character, don't make the case all about you. Try to stick with the case.
12. Try to avoid using Chat speak. It'll be hard for other members to read and post.
13. You can only have one character in the RPG.
14. Please read the other members' post carefully in the RPG for info on clues or evidence or suspects.
15. The case-discussion threads are meant for discussing the cases ONLY. Not to discuss chocolate or CSI episodes or anything else, just case-related. Though it doesn't really hurt to have a personal post every once in a while
Lastly, just try to have fun. Enjoy! If you have any questions, feel free to ask us.
NOTICE: If you sign up but did not participate in a single case or you've been inactive for two cases, the moderators will cut you from the RPG list.
*Can't think of anything else right now. I'll add more as soon as I remember them. Fabian, you can add more to the rules list.*
Oh, and the setting for the RPG is in NEW YORK, not Vegas, not Miami.
