I love the music that's incorporated into each CSI episode. I watched an extra with the composer and his line of work is what I want to get into. It looks like the composer has a lot of sound equipment that he uses as opposed to live music. It's convenient, but tough on live musicians. But I have similar equipment and I started making some of my own CSI-themed groove music. I wonder if you can get any soundtracks of the composer's work. Yup, I composed CSI music. I love it that much!

Hi, I'm new to the board and this is my first post. Calypso, thanks for the info. Also, I'm curious: Is the music played during CSI episodes, original music created for CSI which is created by two people, namely John M. Keane and Trent Reznor? I always thought the music was done by established music artists. But apparently, since the imdb site also lists Avril Lavigne, her song and the episode it's in, apparently, she must be the only established musical artist who has ever had a song played on CSI. With the exception of the theme song by Pete Townshend/The Who. Am I understanding what the imdb site is saying?

It's mixed, often there is music from other artists played, for example the Wallflowers and their song 'Everybody out of the Water' in 3x02. Sometimes there are pieces written by Keane like 'Investigation Suite' and 'Grissom's Overture'. I think Elyses site has a detailed listing of some music played in eps, I just don't have the link right now, perhaps someone can help...actually I have it here: members.aol.com/JRD203/csi-music.htm

That's kind of how I thought it was. That imdb page sure does make that confusing. Also, is Elyse's site the most comprehensive? There are still a lot songs that she doesn't have the info for at her site. It would be nice if CBS would do like the WB does and name the songs and the artists that played during an episode at the end of the episode.

I don't know, I never really looked for such things, I just happened to come across that page. Perhaps you can email the owners of Elyse's site, maybe they can help you.

I've gotten in touch with her already and what she has on her music page is all she has. Also, the way that I understand it, some of the names of artists and songs that she has on her page is because of contributions from other people. Additionally, I've also emailed CBS about this, but most of the time, CBS doesn't email you back.

"http://tunefind.com/show/CSI" has a pretty complete list of songs from the show.
