Hi. I'm new to the boards and I couldn't find any posts about errors that anyone has caught in the series. So, I thought I'd start a thread because I've seen several and they bug me. Some errors are just stupid and so I want to share them and see what everybody thinks.
One of the first one that I caught was from episode 1x09 'The Unfriendly Skies'. In it the blind man, Preston Cash, says:
PRESTON CASH: I'm not totally blind. I'm legally blind. My central visual
acuity is 20/200.
I may be wrong, but I thought you are legally blind when your corrected vision is no better than 20/200. My uncorrected vision is 20/400 and without my glasses, I would have been able to see enough to have described what happened. At 20/400, everything is just out of focus.
It seems like the writer just looked up legally blind and went with the bare minimum, not realizing that he would still be able to see.
The other error that I can remember is from episode 2x09, 'And then their were none.' Officer Spencer says:
OFFICER SPENCER: It's okay. Look, I cover 97.5 square miles. I got to book.
That sounds like a lot, but it's less than a square with 10 mile to a side. How long can that take? How many roads could there be, in the desert, in that small an area?
Well, that's all that I can remember off the top of my head right now. I'm sure I''l remember more in the future. If anyone else notices any please post them.
